Why this exists
Tutoring usually sells hours. It is almost impossible for a family to tell whether those hours did anything. We built the other thing.
The problem we started from
A parent paying for tutoring is usually buying effort. Hours taught, sessions attended, chapters covered. None of that answers the only question they actually have, which is whether the thing their child was stuck on is still stuck.
What we do differently
- Help starts from the exact problem, described in the student's own words — not from a subject and a timetable.
- Money is held until the class happens, so nobody is teaching on a promise and nobody is paying on one.
- The teacher records what actually changed, tied to the problem that was described at the start. That is checkable, unlike a rating.
How we are building it
Narrow first. A marketplace that spreads across every city and subject at once leaves teachers waiting for work and students unmatched, and both leave. We would rather be genuinely useful in one place than thin everywhere.
Who operates TruTutor
TruTutor is operated by ATRIYA SYSTEMS PVT LTD.
Where we are
Early. Teachers are being onboarded now, and there are things a visitor would reasonably want to know — how many teachers, how fast a match arrives, what results look like — that we cannot answer yet without making them up. When we can measure them we will publish them, including the ones that are unflattering.
