How parent reports work

A report reaches you only after the teacher confirms its exact wording, and never while a dispute or safety concern is open on the class.

What a report is

After a class the teacher records what was covered, what the learner got wrong, and how it was corrected. It is tied to the problem described at the start, so it can be checked rather than just felt.

It is written by the teacher. It is not a star rating and it is not generated.

When you see it

  • A report does not reach you automatically.
  • The teacher confirms the exact wording you will see. Nothing is published on their behalf.
  • The system refuses that confirmation while a dispute or a safety incident is open on the class. A contested class does not become proof of learning.
  • A report that is too thin to be worth reading is refused rather than sent.

Why teachers are paid against it

The teacher is paid after the class, against a confirmed report, not on the day you paid. That is one reason the report has to be real.

If something in it is wrong

A report can be corrected. Use the corrections page; the correction is recorded rather than quietly overwritten.

What a report does not mean

  • Booking a class is not progress, and TruTutor does not treat it as progress.
  • A report says what a teacher confirmed happened. It does not promise a future result, and a weak spot in it is not a reason to buy more.
